Proximity 22 Click is a compact add-on board designed for accurate proximity, ambient light, and color sensing in various low-light and display-adaptive applications. It is based on the TCS3720 sensor from ams OSRAM, which integrates proximity detection, RGB and clear light sensing, and ambient light compensation. The board also supports I2C communication with interrupt output, and includes a configurable XRES SEL jumper for selecting the sensor’s multifunctional pin mode as either hardware reset or PWM input. The unique Click Snap format allows the sensing area to be detached and independently mounted, providing additional flexibility in integration. Proximity 22 Click is ideal for applications such as display brightness and color adjustment, presence detection, and gesture-based interaction in mobile devices, consumer electronics, and industrial panels.

Proximity 10 Click is a versatile proximity detection device on a Click board™. It can detect a foreign object distanced up to 200cm. The Click board™ features a detection sensor IC that can trigger a programmable-event interrupts, which makes this Click board™ capable of detecting even simple gesture movements. The advanced onboard IC sensor features LED driver section, a light sensor with the integrated analog front end (AFE), 16 bit analog to digital converter (ADC), and digital engine for processing and aggregation of the measurement result, which simplifies the firmware development. The ambient light cancellation includes both digital and optical filtering, resulting in increased detection reliability.

Proximity 5 click is a very accurate and reliable proximity sensing (PS) and ambient light sensing (ALS) device, equipped with the state-of-the-art PS and ALS sensor. The signal processing and conditioning section, three IR LED drivers, and the low noise analog front end with the PS and ALS photo-sensitive elements, are all integrated into the sensor IC, ensuring very accurate and reliable readings, while reducing the workload of the host MCU. The proprietary Filtron™ technology provides near-human eye light spectrum sensitivity and top-class background light cancellation scheme for the ALS section, additionally reducing the workload of the MCU. Finally, the programmable interrupt engine reduces the MCU workload, even more, saving the host MCU of constant polling of the sensor for data.

LightRanger Click is a compact add-on board for range-finding and distance-sensing applications. This board features the VL6180X, a three-in-one (proximity, ambient light, and VCSEL light source) optical module from STMicroelectronics. The VL6180X is based on ST’s patented FlightSense™ technology, which allows absolute distance to be measured independently of target reflectance. Instead of estimating the distance by measuring the amount of light reflected from the object, the VL6180X precisely measures the time the light travels to the nearest object and reflects back to the sensor (Time-of-Flight) up to 10cm. In addition, the distance and signal level can also be used to implement gesture recognition. This Click board™ is suitable for presence (object) detection, distance measurement, industrial ranging, inventory control, and many other applications.
