Qi RX Click is a compact add-on board made for the purpose of wireless power transfer. This board features the PIC16F15313, a general-purpose 8-bit MCU that makes a flexible, low-cost alternative to the wireless charging solutions based on ASICs from Microchip. It represents a simple, low-cost implementation of the Qi 1.1 5W wireless charging standard with the added functionality of a fully-featured Li-Ion charging controller. It can extend product life by reducing mechanical failures from connectors allowing the manufacture of devices truly resistant to water and dust. This Click board™ is suitable for wireless charging applications, cell phones, tablets, small hand-held devices, embedded electronics, and more.
Qi RX Click is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click board™ comes as a fully tested product, ready to be used on a system equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.
Harvest energy wirelessly
Qi Receiver click is based on the P9025AC 5W Qi wireless power receiver integrated circuit, with the advanced Foreign Object Detection (FOD) feature, from IDT. The click utilizes the principles of the inductive coupling for the purpose of wireless power transfer. Recently, the WPS Qi wireless power transfer standard is becoming widely used, for example - wireless charging of the batteries on many Qi wireless power charging compliant devices.
Qi Receiver click is well-suited for a wide range of applications, including cell phones, tablets, PC peripherals, medical devices, small hand-held devices, in robotics, embedded electronics, etc.
Note: Qi Receiver click has to be placed near the suitable Qi Transmitter, also known as the charging pad, to successfully harvest the transmitted power.
Brushless 6 click is designed to drive a three-phase sensorless, brushless motor, also known as the BLDC motor. The motor rotation is controlled by receiving driving commands via the incoming PWM signal. This click board fully controls the rotation of the BLDC motor by utilizing the onboard MCU ATmega8A, an 8-bit MCU from Microchip. The onboard MCU outputs are not adequate to power on the coils of the BLDC motor directly, so this MCU is used to control the power circuitry, instead. This circuit consists of 6 MOSFET transistors, used to switch the power from an external power source to the appropriate stator coils.
The advantages of the BLDC motors over the other types of DC motors are many. Thanks to their contactless design, BLDC motors last longer and because of the superior rotational speed and torque properties, BLDC motors are widely used for high-speed, lightweight applications such as the drive motors for drones, electronic cooling equipment, small house appliances, robotics and similar applications. The Brushless 6 click provides an easy and elegant solution for driving BLDC motors.
Brushless 7 Click is, as its name said, a motor driver based expansion board for controlling BLDC motors with any microcontroller. The board is based on TC78B009FTG IC from Toshiba, which is a three-phase BLDC motor controller that does not require Hall sensors. Some of the main features are a built-in closed loop speed control function that regulates and maintains the motor rotational speed under dynamic power fluctuations and load variations. With precise setting of a speed profile done by the built-in nonvolatile memory (NVM) it eliminates the need for an external MCU for closed loop speed control and makes it perfect solution for applications that include high-speed fans used in servers, blowers, cordless vacuum cleaners, and robot vacuum cleaners.
Brushless 7 Click board™ is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click board™ comes as a fully tested product, ready to be used on a system equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.
