MCP2518FD Click is a compact add-on board representing a complete CAN solution used as a control node in a CAN network. This board features the MCP2518FD, an external CAN FD controller with an SPI interface, and a high-speed CAN transceiver, the ATA6563, both from Microchip. The ATA6563, a low-level physical layer IC (PHY), provides a physical connection with the CAN bus itself, while the CAN controller MCP2518FD represents an interface between the MCU and the PHY. It features three operating modes with dedicated fail-safe features, remote wake-up via CAN, and ideally passive behavior when powered off on the CAN bus. This Click board™ is suitable for developing a wide range of automotive diagnostic applications, even on MCUs that do not natively support CAN interface.
MCP2518FD Click is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click board™ comes as a fully tested product, ready to be used on a system equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.
ETH Click is an accessory board in mikroBus™ form factor. It features ENC28J60, a 28-pin, 10BASE-T stand alone Ethernet Controller with an on-board MAC & PHY, 8K Bytes of Buffer RAM and SPI serial interface.
MCU Card is a standardized add-on board, which allows very simple installation and replacement of the microcontroller unit (MCU) on a development board equipped with the MCU Card socket. By introducing the new MCU Card standard, we have ensured the absolute compatibility between the development board and any of the supported MCUs, regardless of their pin number and compatibility. This board features the DA14531MOD, SmartBond TINY module based on the world’s smallest and lowest power Bluetooth 5.1 System-on-Chip (SoC) from Dialog Semiconductor. This Click board™ is effectively future-proofed due to a combination of Bluetooth 5.1 compliance and support for over-the-air software updates. The DA14531 module is certified for worldwide operation; it comes with an integrated antenna and all external components, including passives, XTAL, antenna, Flash memory, and easy-to-use software, making Bluetooth low energy development more manageable than ever before.
