Click boards™ are made to save developers time because by using Click boards™ you do not have to worry about designing a new board just to test some idea or concept. They are a perfect solution for users which requires tested and affordable hardware, supported with FREE libraries and technical support. To enable hundreds of Click boards™ to be connected to the microcontroller or microprocessor we have invented socket standard - mikroBUS. This uniform connection interface is allowing you to connect any Click board to a main board instantly. The standard specifies the physical layout of the mikroBUS™ pinout, the communication and power supply pins located on the main board as well as the matching pinout on the Click board itself.
Click boards™ are a modular prototyping add-on board standard which revolutionizes the way users add new functionalities to development boards. They come in different flavors, however the standard specifies the size and shape of the add-on boards as well as the silkscreen used. Majority of Click boards™ are made to address one functionality and feature - one part per board, this allows you fast and easy evaluation of technology or comparison of parts at any time.

Mikroe is allowing customers to use Click boards™ in their final products without prior approval by Mikroe. Customers should pay attention on the certificates like CE, FCC needed for some end products and its distribution on the global/local market.
Mikroe can customize any board based on customer application and requirements, doesn’t matter if those are changes in the form, shape, features or another component. Feel free to contact us for additional information about MOQ or NRI.
If you have a request for the Click board™ with stackable headers, Mikroe can manufacture this board for you. This is not a part of the standard offer and therefore this request must be addressed during the ordering process. Check this option out with our Mikroe sales staff.
Some systems that require special positioning of the peripherals like cameras, and movement sensors, might require flexibility in mounting. In order to make that possible and still keep the plug&play concept we have offered the Shuttle Click and mikroBUS™ shuttle for additional reach and flexibility of your application. Beside flexibility these boards allow you also to expand your mikroBUS™ socket to 4 or more extra.

As stated before, all Click boards™ are designed to fit the mikroBUS™ standard.
Click board™ product lifetime is directly related to the part/material availability and its lifetime. As long as we can find materials available on the market to manufacture boards we will keep that product active.
If we take in consideration that Click boards are designed to be compatible with the mikroBUS socket, we might say that all interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, Analog are supported. However some Click boards also support Quad SPI interface, or external control by using additional headers.
The click boards™ are Mikroe's brand of mikroBUS™ add-on boards. The click board™ name is Mikroe's trademark. Third party developers are not allowed to call their own mikroBUS™ add-on boards click boards™, nor use the word “click” on the silkscreen.
