Everyone can use Planet Debug. We believe that Design Service companies benefit the most, start-ups and students. But Planet Debug can also be used by larger companies. Interest is being shown by huge MCU companies which use Planet Debug as a support tool to help their potential customers evaluate their new MCUs without the semiconductor company having to make and supply development hardware themselves.
All SiBRAIN cards can be placed within Planet Debug. Right now, we have included the most popular ones.
If you choose to use one of our standard set-ups, there is no charge at all. But if you want your specific set-up, the only option is the $4/day charge. One license can be shared among different company members. Since the $4 covers a 24 hour period, if large companies have people working in various locations around the world, they can effectively have 24 working hours for just $4.
A cloud service is not involved. The connection is direct via an internet link.
Security is a very important subject for us. One of the benefits of Planet Debug is that source code remains only on the user's laptop. Only HEX files are going to the board, and HEX is not usable to anyone without the source code. Also, the connection to the board is SSL certified, so there is the same level of security as internet cash transactions.
