mikroC Visual Studio

#1 Post by peini » 05 Jan 2016 18:52

Hi,

it would be nice to integrate mikroe Compilers into Visual Studio because it is a fantastic IDE.
Or maybe you could use a Visual Studio Isolated Shell like it is used for the Atmel AVR Studio.
This would be very great.

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Peini,

We have already have graphical user interfaces for TFT displays called VisualTFT, which relay on our compilers mikroC, mikroBasic and mikroPascal.

Somehow I do not think VisualTFT is what Daniel had in mind  .

Jep :)

I know VisualTFT but this is for designing GUIs.
I've meant to use Visual Studio as the Text-Editor for writing code and integrate the compiler into Visual Studio.

At the moment i try this by myself by writing some .target files for MSBuild and then creating some project templates for Visual Studio.
But i think this gets really hard when it comes to debugging support, because i don't know how the Debugger dll is working internally.

Hi Peini,

I apologize, this was obviously a oversight on my side.

I understand what are you suggesting.
Definitely this is idea which our Developers should consider for our future compiler look.

I will forward this to our team.

Thank you for this suggestion!

Regards,
Aleksandar

Are there any news about using Visual Studio as IDE?
I've found some other posts from developers who also want to use VS.

Hi Peini,

Our developers are informed about this.

Unfortunately at this moment I can not provide you exact information will and when Visual Studio will be used as the Text-Editor for writing code.

Kind regards,
Aleksandar
