v5.00: Project Editor

#1 Post by janni » 04 Jul 2011 15:53

Somewhere along the way Project Editor stopped displaying all the config words. Unfortunately, this wasn't fixed in v 5.00.

CONFIG7L and CONFIG7H are missing in the above example.

Note also that the Oscillator Frequency is displayed now in Hz (not MHz) and the number does not fit the window. As there's little sense in giving the frequency with such accuracy, it seems to be a formatting mistake. (Same concerns Project Settings window.)

Hi janni,

CONFIG7L and CONFIG7H are NOT missing.
You need to click on the windows, then scroll down.
You'll see it at the bottom.

And about Mhz thing, it is working here.
Please check.

Well, my mouse cannot scroll this window, but indeed, arrow keys allow to reach the last values. Thanks Tomy :) .
Still, I'd rather have larger window or a scroll bar than use keys.

Funny. Your remark forced me to try from the beginning. So I started new project (clock in Project Wizard was displayed correctly) and still had the same problem. Moreover, when setting the clock in Edit Project window to 8, I got 8 000 000.0000 indication in Project Settings, but typing 8 in Project Settings resulted in 8.000000 :!:
Unfortunately, after closing and reopening the IDE with the same project, oscillator frequency was again displayed as 8 000 000.000000 MHz. Last two zeroes were visible only after clicking on the number and moving cursor with arrow key, but then, after the Frequency window lost focus, the number displayed was 8E18 MHz  . So I clicked on the window again, then at another window and guess what - now the value displayed was 818.000000 MHz. Doing it again resulted in 818 000 000.00 MHz. After few times the value reached 8.182E22 MHz and it stopped to be funny so I gave up.

Though it shouldn't matter, I use Windows XP Professional (SP3) and Office XP style.
