EEPROM editor auto-lmit?

#1 Post by arcom » 23 Jan 2008 21:03

Hi!

I just spend last 2 hours on debugging as to why the PIC reads incorrect EEPROM data just to realize that it has only 128 bytes of EEPROM and I tried to access up to 192 bytes

So...

Is it possible to automatically limit the size of the EEPROM editor window to the size of the selected PIC micro's EEPROM size? The way it works in PICFLASH. Or just write the correct EEPROM size based on the selected pic (now it always displays "Data Memory Size: 256 Bytes" no matter what PIC is selected). To simplify things you could just run the EEPROM editor with the EEPROM size as a command line parameter :)

We will work on this. It is on the wish list already, with lower priority though.
