8051Flash

The 8051 flash programmer does not recognize the AT89S8253 microprocessor. It recognizes it as an AT89S8252. Is this a fault in the program?

Hi,
I cannot seem recreate this behavior. The chip is being recognized in the original form. Can you please specify what development board do you use and what 8051Flash version.
Also, please install the latest drivers and software if they are currently not up-to-date:

The flash program works

The problem must have been with the chip. I bought some new chips and the problem is not there anymore. The board I am using is a brand new Easy8051B. The chip that was not working was the one that came with the board.
