I too, have bought a lot of new chips, unsupported for the moment...
since mid-last year.
Can i suggest to:
- in the new build of MicrodsC to make the chips support like a plugin ( we can download the update only without waiting for the new version of the software) ... it would be cool to have an automatic download of supported chips as soon as they are made .
- Maybe release a public tool to "copy" the supported features of an existing chip family and transpose it to a new member of the family ( chip number) so we can have limited functionality, but be able to develop a little with new chips ( that often have compatible opcodes and memory maps as previously released chips) until you make an official release.
Mig.

David, I have done the same thing for mikroBASIC (for 28/44-pin dsPIC33 and PIC24H). Another issue is programmer support - PICFlash does not yet support these devices. Have you tested your routines in hardware? I use a PICKit2 programmer and so far - the little testing that has been done - it appears to be working OK.
Why pay for overpriced toys when you can have
professional grade tools for FREE!!!

There is a good chance that it will work in hardware if it works in Proteus (not guaranteed though - one reason why I don't use simulators much). The fact that PICFlash does not YET support these devices is no biggie for me as I use the PICkit2 exclusively for the PIC24F/H and dsPIC33 (and the PIC18xxK series).
