CodeGrip cannot find device on EasyPIC v8

#1 Post by blysynski » 04 Dec 2020 21:37

Hello,
I'm having problems with CodeGrip/EasyPIC v8; CodeGrip is showing a red wifi icon (link blocked), I can't detect the target.  Yesterday I was able to connect and program but verify failed every time - the target ran as expected (i.e. successful).
  • What can I do to determine what is causing the block?
  • Is there a self test for the EasyPIC board?

Additional information:
direct connect via USB;
  • connection to device is intermittent, multiple attempts to detect device before successful
  • CodeGrip will lose target during programming/after programming
  • multiple attempt to erase target

Hi,

I apologize for this issue, both USB and WiFi programming options are not working ?
Can you tell me is the board recognized in the CODEGRIP Suite when you press Scanning ?

Regards,
Filip.

I also have a similar problem. I have tried to detect the default chip that comes with the EasyPic v8 - a PIC18F47K42

Here is the screen shot - I get the message "Target is not detected" even though the board is connected via USB

I'm finding this software and board completely unusable, and have wasted hours trying to get a simple thing working

NB: I have downgraded the firmware to v1.3 and the Suite to 1.3.1 because I need to use it with mikroPascal and version 1.4 and above are not compatible, I'm told.

Fixed it. The low voltage programming mode does NOT work. Try one of the other modes
