Program Memory Size: 0K

#1 Post by Dany » 01 Jul 2020 20:09

Hi, in version 2.80 of MikroProg Suite (I can not UnRar v2.90 for some reason) the text "Program Memory Size: 0K" is shown.
The selected PIC is the P24FJ64GB002.
It seems to become Ok after manually selecting another PIC and reselect the original one.

The "code memory dump" shows the correct number.

Thanks in advance.
Kind regards, Dany.

I had no problem extracting RAR file 2.9 using 7-Zip on Windows 10 64 bit

I have zipped up the folder and attached it in case .zip works better for you...

The odd thing is that mikroProg suite shows v2.90 in the banner line, but 2.8 in "about" and in "history"

Running up mikroProg stand-alone and selecting PIC24FJ64GB002 shows 21 K Instr under the Configuration Bits window. It showed 21 K on v2.80 before I upgraded and still shows 21 K now that I have upgraded to v2.90.

Not tried programming for real yet. Will try it soon.

Managed to reproduce your symptoms...

1) leave mikroProg programmer (or Easy24-33 v6 board) connected and powered
2) run stand-alone picProg program
3) select PIC24FJ64GB002 in mikroProg window
4) close stand-alone picProg program
5) run stand-alone picProg program and see "0 K Words"
6) select another family, e.g. PIC24F-K in selection window, then select PIC24F-J again - "21 K Instr" shown.

Seems to be a completely harmless feature that does not seem to affect programming.
As far as I can tell, sizing seems to work OK when mikroProg is run from mikroC IDE.

Indeed, it does not affect programming.

With mP (dsPIC/Pic24) it keeps showing 0K when starting from the IDE without any further problems however.

I have no problem at all unzipping your Rar file. The one found on the mikroE website gives an error here (using IZarc).
Thanks! :D
