Six degrees, but with industry leading precision.
Up, down, left, right, pitch, roll, yaw – those are the six degrees of freedom the name of this board is referring to. It's not the first of the kind we have in our range, but the highlight of this one is its long-term precision over a wide range of temperatures.
The MAX21105 chip is in the main role. It integrates a gyroscope and accelerometer (both 3-axis). The gyroscope has a full-scale range of ±250, ±500, ±1000, ±2000 dps. The accelerometer has a full-scale range of ±2, ±4, ±8, ±16g.
Three sets of jumpers allow you to switch between SPI and I2C interfaces, to set the I2C address, and to specify which of the two available interrupt lines will be used.
