MikroC ARM first look

WOW, you guys at mE have achieved the impossible…

made ARM EASY

Seriously guys, today I had a spare hour at the end of the day. So I fired up the mikroC ARM compiler with the mind-set “I won’t be heading home until I build my first LCD example and run it in MY hardware”. I was sooooo disappointed to be heading home after less than 10 minutes. Yip less than 10 minutes to modify your LCD example program for a different MCU with different pin connections, a quick check at the def file for the registers I needed to modify, compile, flash and go.

Anyone reading this that was thinking of trying ARM, stop thinking about it and just do it the EASY way with MikroC ARM.

Lucky you, Mince! My ARM compiler - along with another $1500 of ME kit - has been languishing in Malaysian customs for nearly a week.

DHL is good, DHL Malaysia is f***ing hopeless.

the example i used compiles inside the demo limit and i used my own hardware. So i guess DHL are off the hook with me
