USB HID Descriptor

I'm a little confused about the USB descriptor files, and to me, it looks like a bug.

MB Pro now uses the extension .mbas ... the old one was .pbas if im not wrong?

So why does the HID Tool still generate the descriptor file as a .pbas?
(also the example descriptor file is .mbas)
