PDF Manual

#1 Post by fastbike » 06 Jul 2021 19:26

Google search delivers me a PDF manual for mikroPascal PRO, but it is dated 2009.

Is there a newer version available. I'm finding the online help a bit clunky and not available when I'm on a different computer to the one with the compiler installed.

Hi,

You can freely use the embedded help in the compiler which you can invoke by pressing F1, it is the most up to date version of the compiler's documentation.

Filip.

The help is not actually embedded in IDE - its use is. One may copy the Microsoft Help format *.chm file (mikroPascal_PRO_PIC.chm with accompanying index file mikroPascal_PRO_PIC.chw) from compiler installation directory and use it on another computer (it may need unblocking on newer Microsoft Windows versions).

It's possible to convert *.chm file to pdf format, though most converters do it poorly. Try my version of pdf Help if you wish (Ups, attachments do not seem to work :( ).

Thanks janni

It is of limited use as it does not contain an index but thanks for trying to help out.

Yeah, those chm to pdf converters can't do the job properly. A copy of the chm file from the compiler's directory is a better solution.

Hi Janni. From what version is this manual?

Hi,
it's current version of Help with my little additions and corrections but the pdf form indeed is not very convenient to use. Better download the chm file (see here). You may use it separately from the compiler or replace the original file. If you do not use my replacement libs, skip the chm file dedicated to them.

I am definitely very interested in the chm of your routines. always liked them very much . All descriptions in one place will be very helpful.
I even suggest you put a more visible link to it. maybe a post just for that.

Thank you very much

Jose
