I was working with DS18B20 and everything is perfect. Suddenly I got from China RW1820 which is clone of DS chip. It does have slightly different timings so original library doesnt work. What I am suggesting is to create some sort of custom init so timeslots can be redefined. I wrote my own lib, and funny thing is that it works with both families. With original mE lib, in 90% of cases, comm with RW1820 fails. Custom init can cure this, so user can slightly adjust timings for time slots. I do agree that it is not by OneWire Dallas standard, but lets be flexible so we can use China clones as well
p.s. I am passing by mE factory once in two weeks, I can drop off you those RW1820 chips and datasheet so you can play with them
