Eclipse Plugin

#1 Post by arthur.afarias » 18 Jun 2011 04:27

I wish there was an Eclipse Plugin of Mikroelektronika. Microchip already have your MPLAB-IDE for Net-Beans, but cannot be compaired with Eclipse, it is the best IDE ever made ;D

Including a plugin for Eclipes is the worst Idea or thing mE can do !!!
There is no more complicated and slow IDE than Eclipse .
Dont waste yout time with this mE ,there are many more useful libraries which your users need than a stupid Eclipse Plug in
then secondly 90% of your users have difficulties working with the IDE as it is now imagine your support problem when you have to support Eclipse

That's interesting. Most of the larger MCU manufacturer's toolchains are based on Eclipse. They must have got it wrong then.

I had my problem with Eclipse and I will never be a fan of Eclipse and as you are no fan of microchip it is your right to have an opinion and be a fan of a product,
such is my right to be no fan from eclipse or ARM ,and we once had this discusion ,ARM does not rule as your signature shows ,Infineon Rules them in all aspects, and the next point is
Microchip certainly goes under the Larger Manufacturers and they also does not see fit to use Eclipse !

Yes that is my opinion based on sales figures for the different manufacturers !!

I am also not going to argue in a forum about this ,You use your ARM and Eclipse and be happy ,I wil not use it as said .
