When creating a new standard project and the project name starts with a number for example 57_test then the wizard complains that the file name contains and illegal character such as /-*. etc.
When I add a letter to start the project name it accepts the project name p57_test
BETA 7.30 - Project name
Re: BETA 7.30 - Project name
Hi,
This restriction is implemented in all of the compilers, not only this beta.

Filip.

Re: BETA 7.30 - Project name
I can understand that restriction but then it should be mentioned in the error message that project names can not start with a number. I spent lots of time trying to get a project setup and that name did not contain any illegal characters as mentioned in the error message.
I was just too dumb to understand that there was a undocumented restriction on naming projects.
So ok. Lets call it a feature.. But hardly a helpful one.
Any why is a number as first character such a bad idea that it had to be banned?

You can use underscore in the filename
What prevents your name is the secret limitation that the filename is not allowed to start with a number
In your case the 1 is the culprit..
