I've been using the custom character tool and think it's great!

I've also found the ASCII table you include is not the standard used by most LCD's and it therefore gives the wrong values to be used for the LCD_CHR command.

For example, Alpha shoud be 1110 0000, Your table does not show alpha....

The character table in LCD depends on manufacturer, not every manufacturer loads the same table inside LCD. I've seen some LCDs with japanese characters instead of ASCII.
