Can't synchronize device with the programmer.

Hi. Im using the AT89C series for my design. However the flash software doesn't support this one. So I choose 89S51 and 89S52 and get this error: Can't synchronize device with the programmer. When I choose 89S53 it's successful but the circuit doesn't work. What is the potential problems here? Is 89C and 89S compatible ?

Hi,

Welcome to the MikroE forum.

Unfortunately, AT89C51 only supports parallel programming,
therefore it cannot be programmed with our mikroProg for 8051,
and it is not listed as one of supported MCUs:
