baudrate wrong

#1 Post by jpc » 11 Oct 2006 21:54

i am having a problem with baudrate generated for 18F8520 , hspll enabled . I looks like the *4 PLL is NOT incorporated in the baudrate-calc , first i had ok communication at 57600 baud with 10 mHz osc , then , after enabling HSPLL iand changing clock to 40 mHz i found this to be divided by 4 ???
If i make the program output the clock-frequency it shows 40 mHz as it should , cannot find the reason. Looks like this is valid for both Usart-channels

must have been messing up something with config-bits , sorry , now it is ok!
Probably i was not running at 40 mHz at all , asking the program probably allways will give whatever you set the clockrate to , can be somthing else then real clock !
