i2c frequency vr-stamp

Could someone explain me which is the frequency of i2c communication for the vr-stamp? Is it selectable?
I have to interface vr-stamp with an external device that supports a frequency for i2c protocol up to 10 kbps. Does exit some problems to realize this connection or not?
