Suitability of Codegrip for a field reprogramming task

#1 Post by oliverb » 05 Oct 2023 12:55

I have a circuit board that uses a PIC18F4520 and has a programming connector that largely follows the 10 way Mikroprog pinout. Well there is one difference, both "5V" pins are connected together.

I need to recommend a programmer, and although I have a design for an adapter to use a PICkit I'd rather not go that route.

Does the Codegrip include an adaptor to convert to the 10 way Mikroprog format?

If I supply a "hex" file how hard is it for a new user to load and program it.

Does the Codegrip WiFi model have ANY WiFi functionality without an installed license?

There is an adapter board for CODEGRIP to mikroProg :

User can simply drag and drop HEX to CODEGRIP Suite application, it is very simple.

You will need WiFi license for any WiFi functionality.
