I want to jump to a location, not to a subroutine...

It would be useful if the IDE does not mix user settings into the project file. It makes it difficult to track the file on Git.

Hello Mikroe dev team.
Can you fix USART Terminal and Seven segment editior tool ( In TOOLS MENU ) ...
My laptop is full HD 1920 x 1080 with 15.6" screen ( It too small to see text and Icon )... If I set DPI to 125% ( mikroC and Help, text, other is good )... but USART Teminal not display fully. ( see image below ).
Thank you !

Hi,

We are aware of this issue, even Microsoft posted an official statement regarding this :
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... pi-devices

Currently, I propose you to set the DPI scaling to 100% as the solution for this.

Regards,
Filip.

A constant nuisance with your IDE's is that despite their reliability and rich feature set, they feel and act archaic. Windows laboriously redraw & tear while being moved. The IDE refuses to minimize. Windows mysteriously disappear into the background or else insist on being in the foreground (i.e. the UART terminal). The IDE's must be launched in Administrator mode in order to function.
This is the behavior I'd expect from software written in some ancient application framework from the early 2000's. The design and layout is also extremely dated.

The substance of your IDE's is excellent. I love the code assistant, the easy viewing of assembly, and easy access to tools like UART & HID terminals and the Quick Converter. However, I think that the archaic look and feel of your IDE's makes a poor first impression, and is a minor but continuous nuisance for experienced users as well. I hope you will consider rebuilding your IDE's in a modern application framework that is optimized for current versions of Windows.

I fail to understand why inline function capability is not, already, a feature in your compilers. It's a feature in standard C! Especially since it should be fairly easy to implement!!
Humility is the lack of the desire to impress, not the lack of being impressive.

Also, I would very much like it if you guys to included the ability to create an array of bit types and sbit types. This would be a HUGE help when it comes to dealing with contextual port groups. I have frequent need to create port mappings, so I can iterate through a set of ports, programmatically. Like if I have a number of ports monitoring things and I want to scan them. Or, scanning LED arrays, which might not be connected as sequential ports (like, for instance, when assigning the ports in some jumbled order makes designing a PCB easier.)
Humility is the lack of the desire to impress, not the lack of being impressive.

The "Click here to see the Progress report on your poll requests" link doesn't go to anything that looks remotely like a Progress Report.

Evidently there isn't much progress to report on. Few of the items listed above were completed since the list was opened in mid 2016.

They also quietly turned their compiler "roadmaps" into change logs.

I forgot to vote for "Directive for aligning variables in RAM in all compilers."
Because at ARM it is very important to align and pack your variables the way you want it for more speed.

At PIC it is important because you have no RAM to speak of :D

the easy viewing of assembly,
The IDE refuses to minimize as well here... what is that good for? I will always try to minimize it again and again.
The animated roll-out of the left and right tabs is a living nightmare! IT TAKES SECONDS.
Where do I turn the animation OFF?
It's just a simple setting, how do I turn it off?

To turn off the auto hide of the side bars click on the push pin in the top RH corner of the side bar window and it will stay on. Click the "X" to close it and it will not pop-up again. You have to click the specific function in the view menu if you want to see it again and manually close it after.

I prefer it to auto hide personally as I frequently use a laptop for development and screen real-estate is valuable. It also saves having to go to the view menus when debugging a large program - but it is a personal thing.

I have no issues with minimize on Win7 pro 64 bit.
