IDE HDD interface?

Has anybody successfully interfaced with a hard drive yet? I have a 40G HDD that could come in pretty handy for monitoring an engine on a long trip.

The IDE interface is very much the same as those of a CF card. I would suggest you start with a CF card and then adopt the code to support the HDD
