GSM3 Click - Status pin

#1 Post by robbannn » 19 Mar 2018 13:54

Hi!

I have a project where I use a Raspberry Pi 3B, a Pi 3 click shield from you guys at MikroElectronica and a GSM3 Click (also from you guys).
I have a problem where I turn the modem on, which works correctly, but the status pin doesn't change from low to high. What could be the issue?
The modem is in slot #1 on the Pi 3 click shield and I am reading GPIO4 for status.

Hi,

I`ve check with my colleagues, and they told me that you cannot read in that way analog values,
because all connections from the shields are done by SPI.

You could try to write a simple program that sends High and Low values to that pin and check with multimeter what happens.
Try this with and without Pi3 shield.

If this is software related problem, bare in mind that we do not support Raspberry Pi development boards.

Kind regards,
Petar
