Hexiwear Help

Has anyone been able to update the firmware on their Hexiwear units?

My Hexiwear is not performing anywhere close to where it should be according to the Kickstarter and user guide. Connecting to Bluetooth is hit or miss and getting back to the firmware upload section in the app is practically impossible.

Nice looking piece of hardware but unless I can update the FW and connect to BT easily, it is no better than a paperwight at the moment...
