Serial data out of Uart

#1 Post by monsteroz » 16 Jan 2015 01:13

Hi,

Firstly I just received my Speakup and I like it alot.

My aim is to use it by sending Index codes to a Raspberry PI via wireless but to get things tested first I have wired the UART (Mikrobus) TX,RX and GND to a Serial to USB converter on a PC and have a Terminal program running on the PC.

When the Speakup boots up I get a "Ready" on the terminal screen .

I test the speakup with a word I have recorded and I know it has recognised it as the red LED stays on longer but no Index code is sent to the terminal.

I have set the notify master to UART and the baud rate is right as I get the "ready"

Any ideas

Cheers

Sean

Hello,

Cross Rx and Tx and select same baud rate in terminal and Speak up.

Nemanja.

Best regards.
