MMB PIC18FJ TFT backlight dimmer

Hi all

a few months ago I wrote this code http://www.libstock.com/projects/view/9 ... ght-dimmer to dim the backlight of my MMB PIC18FJ.
I don't have a problem if people give a bad rating, but I would like some feedback to learn. What is so bad? For me the code works as I expected. Is it wrong to do this with a timer? What should I improve?
