MikroProg and MikroICD not working properly

Hello everyone, I've been having trouble debugging with the mikroProg debugger. It always hangs, doesn't stop at breakpoints, and the run to cursor option seem to hang as well. I'm using the PIC18F2550, mikroC PRO fro PIC v.7.6.0, mikroProg Suite for PIC v2.70, and the mikroProg programmer/debugger with firmware v2.11. I've set the optimization level to 0 but that didn't seem to help. The build type is ICD Debug and the Debugger is set to mikroICD. I'm fairly new so any help would be appreciated :)
