serial number at burning time

HI!
I have a certain problem. I am compiling a unique serial number into the code for USB serial numbers.
I would like to give a new serial numer before burning automatically.
Does it make sense to manipulate the hexfile or do you have other ideas for my?

Also, can i run a program BEFORE burning?
