Programming AT90S1200

#1 Post by Robx101010 » 19 Nov 2019 14:37

Hello at All,
I'm new user.
I have a new mikroProg for AVR.
I'm not able to program old pics AT90s1200 and AT90s1200A.
I visualize an error:
"Device detected [?] is not at90s1200
continue anyway?"
If I select yes, the progress bar reach 100% but the device isn't programmed.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello,

Did you install drivers using admin privileges?
Can you try to change the USB cable and USB port?
Can you tell me how you connected mikroProg with MCU?
Can you send me the screenshot of the error which you got?

Kind regards,
Jovana

Hello Jovana,
I installed driver using admin privileges on win7 and win10,
I tryed to change usb cable and port but without any result.
MikroProg and MCU are connected by home made adaptor. I checked pinouts and connections.
I selected 1Mhz with at90s1200a int osc., and 4Mhz with at90s1200 ext osc, getting the same result.

Hi,

Please, try to turn off the User Account Control.

If you have the same problem disable driver signature. The explanation on how to do that can be found at the following:

Kind regards,
Jovana

Hi Roberto,

Can you send me the picture and schematic of your hardware, where I can see how you connected MCU with mikroProg?

Kind regards,
Jovana

Hello,

Have you tried to supply your board with power before programming?
Are you sure that you placed the MCU in the correct position?
If you have a breadboard, try to connect MCU with mikroProg directly, using wire jumpers.

Kind regards,
Jovana

Hello Jovana,
I checked the voltage on pin 20 without programmer connected and I tried to connect directly using wire jumpers.
the contacts of adapter work fine, I checked the train impulse on miso, mosi, sck, rst on pins of mcu with oscilloscope; All signals are present.

Best Regards
Roberto

Hello,
I bought some ATtiny2313A for replace the obsolete mcu, I recompiled my code.
Using the same avrprogrammer, adapter and pc, I didn't have any problems to program this device.
