Install and Run problems

I had been running MikroBasic with MikroProg Suite with no problems on a Windows 10 Pro machine

Due to a disk issue I had to re install the Mikroe Programmes and now I have run into problems with MikroProg suite.
I downloaded the latest (v7.20) of MikroBasic and installed it in the default directory
I installed MikroProg suite when instructed
I Installed the driver set USB18PRG-Vista-x64 as administrator when Instructed
The installation went fine, I could build programmes but I could not programme the chip on an EasyPIC 6

If I run MikroProg Suite by double clicking on the shortcut:

MCU Family lists all types PIC10F, PIC12F, PIC16F, PIC18F, PIC18F-K, PIC18F-J etc.
USB Show Device shows nothing

I am unable to write to MCU as error message "Development tool not detected" shows

If I run MikroProg Suite by right clicking on the shortcut and selecting Run as Administrator:
MCU Family only lists 4 types PIC10F, PIC12F, PIC16F, PIC18F
USB Show Device shows USB18F Firmawarev1.20 -PICFlasprog

I am unable to write to MCU as I cannot select PIC18F25K22

I run into similar problems when I use the programmer in conjunction with MikroBasic Buils & Program
I downloaded Mikro Prog suite 2.8 and associated drivers and installed them, but I get the same problem. UAC is turned OFF

Ant suggestions please?

Hello,

Can you send me a screenshot of mikroProg Suite and USB Show Devices?
When you run mikroProg Suite, go to USB -> Show Devices and take a screenshot after you have connected your EasyPIC 6 board to your PC.

Hi Jovana, here are the screen shots. On the left is what happens when I open as a normal user. On the right when I open as admin. Notice also the difference in the MCU Family window.

Hello,

You cannot program PIC18F25K22 on your EasyPIC 6 board, because mikroICD on board doesn't support this MCU.

Can you try programming some other MCU which is supported?

That solves the problem!!! Never thought about that. At home I use and EASYPIC7, I brought the EASYPIC6 to the RV. It makes sense as I can programme a 18F4550.
