Hi,
I have just received a new EasyMX Pro board for the STM32 and I'm trying to get the programmer working however I'm seeing an error "USB Communication Error" when I try to detect the MCU. It has worked once prior, and a few times appeared to work but the original program was still in there. I'd like to program using a hex file from TrueStudio however even when used with MikroC I still get an error.
The settings are:
Hardware: STLink
Connection: Normal
SWD
Can someone please suggest a fix to this.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,
What happens when you use JTAG instead of SWD?
Have you installed mikroProg Suite and drivers as administrator?
Which operating system you are using?
Kind regards,

Hi Stefan
Yes I needed to reinstall the drivers, I then started intermittently getting device not recognised errors. Last night I had it working fine then when checking this morning a got the device not recognised until I removed and replaced the USB cable.
I don’t have these issues with the easy pic 7 board.
I’m using Windows 10 btw
Cheers

Hi Paul,
I'm glad that you have managed to fix this.
Yes, sometimes the problem could be even in the USB cable.
For Windows 10 it's recommended to disable driver signatures.

Re: mikroProg v1.6 Communication Error
Unfortunately we now have a guest staying in my study for the weekend, so access is limited
However, it did seem to be working, so I'll see how it goes in a few days. If I'm still having issues, I'll try your suggestion and post the resolution up either way.
Cheers, Paul
