PIC32MM support

#1 Post by phil31 » 20 Oct 2016 09:25

Dear Team,

do you have any date for next next release of mikroBasic PRO PIC32 ?
does the next update add support for the PIC32MM family ? (particularly PIC32MM0016GPL020) ?

thanks, regards

Hi,

I apologize for the delayed reply.

Support for the PIC32MM family will be in next release for PIC32 compilers.
But unfortunately, at this moment I cannot give precise information regarding date.

Regards,
Nadir

Dear Team,

i just check the PIC32 roadmap and see that you remove the PIC32MM support of the chips list !
is it a mistake or a real new bad news !?

thanks
Phil

I would guess that adding FreeRTOS support to the compiler is a big job, and they didn't want to get delayed.

By the way, can we expect RTOS support for all three languages?

Hi,

in the next update of compiler Free RTOS will be supported in mikro C only.

then for mikroBasic & mikroPascal, no real update !

again a poor promise from mikroE !

from roadmap :
10.3.2017 - Free RTOS support to be implemented to PIC32 compilers
We added Free RTOS support to project requirements.

==> we understood "for 3 compilers" ...

and "Also, the complete list of supported chips now refers to MCUs we will add to the mikroProg suite." ==> does it mean that the compiler will support MM devices ?

What about future updates?

The MB compiler is missing RTOS, struct pointers, union, initializer, and others. Click Board examples are given in MikroC almost all the time. I can go on and on.
