Ethernet library & TCP Client

#1 Post by phil31 » 28 Dec 2016 22:46

Hell Team,

please can you provide a simple TCP client example working with the Ethernet library, on libstock by example ?
the only example you provide with the library is TCP server !
something that open a socket to a TCP server and send a simple GET request.

thanks, regards

Hi,

For developing TCP client you should use libstock library for Ethernet:
http://libstock.mikroe.com/projects/vie ... et-library

I will forward your suggestion to the developers.

Kind regards,
Aleksandar

yes we know that we use this library !
but the "help" file is really too poor, so a real example will be useful !

Hi Phil,

Unfortunately, requests like this are out of our support reach.
Like I mentioned, this is forwarded to the developers and example will be available as soon as possible.

Kind regards,
Aleksandar

hi,

library is available since several years and this kind of request too, without any update !
unfortunately, we know all what "as soon as possible" mean for ME team ..
for me, some bug are open since several years and never fixed !.. so i'm not confident for a request that is not a bug !

We would not need to make this kind of request if the help file was correct.

Dear Sirs,

I'm exactly in the same case. Goal is to communcate with another user or reply to a request from a user with TCP-IP Sockets as I would do with Teraterm or PuTTY in Raw data. Thanks to provide a clear example where we can go further.

Best regards,

hi all users !

you will learn what the Mikroe answer seem !..
check the forum, they ever say "yes i request it to the support team" ..
but most of time, several month or years, NO evolution ..

check this last request about MQTT library : viewtopic.php?f=193&t=68062&hilit=MQTT
"yes" on 1 Jully 2016
today, no evolution ..

wait and see ... or go to Arduino or MPLAB suite, both free !
regards
