Hi,

I've tested this on EasyPIC v7 as well, please check the picture below:

So, I'd suggest you try this using a RiBUS click board.

Kind regards,

I have ordered a Ribus Click as you suggest. Hopefully that will work

On the image of the EasyPic V7, there is a jumper from RA0 - is it going to RE3? Why?

Stefan, I appreciate your help - you have been very patient. I can't think what else you can do! Thank you, excellent customer service!

Once I receive the Ribus, I expect it will work and I will let you know.

Hi,

RA0 (configured as RST in code) is short connected to RE2 (RST pin from mikroBUS2 socket).

Kind regards,

Hi Stefan,

I tried the Ribus. Same result - nothing on display!

I checked and rechecked all connections etc, changed the chip, changed the display, changed the cables, checked config settings programmer/chip, confirmed Vpp (8.28V), Vcc (3.28V) - same result: Nothing. I note an increasing number of Program Errors (30,000 +) each time I re-program the chip (v2.80 Programmer). After many tries, eventually no errors, code dump shows chip is programmed, but still same result. And the cycle continues...

Sorry guys, I am giving up on this. It is taking too much of my time (and yours) with no change. I think maybe there is a hardware fault on my EasyPic v7 as that is the only common factor left in this. For the time being this project will put aside.

Thanks again for your great support, Stefan.

Hi,

I apologize for the inconvenience.

One more thing that you can check (if you have set everything as in the above picture) is whether the mikroProg firmware is up to date:

Thanks, Stefan.

My Suite says it is up to date (v2.80).

Inconvenience is not yours, you did your best. Thanks, much appreciated.
