'TFT' is not a valid integer value

#1 Post by Alexmouse » 25 Jun 2018 15:48

I've started a new project, defined my interface pinning, and dropped a single image onto my display.
Now when I save, I get an error message box, <'TFT' is not a valid integer value>

I've checked all the parameters I've entered, I believe they are correct. How to find the cause?

Additionally, when I try to close the tool, I get a persistent message "Saving project is in progress", so I have to crash out of the tool.

Clearing the "compile on save" option cleared the lockup on program exit. Small progress.

Hello,

Could you tell me which compiler you are using and what version?

Kind regards,

Hi,

Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to reproduce the issue.

Could you tell me which settings you picked while you were creating a project, so I can try with the same settings?
In the meantime, you could try to load some other image in a different format as well to see if that one will work.

Kind regards,
Filip Grujcic

A different image has no effect on the error.

I've spawned a new project with the same display definition, this error has disappeared.

this is not fixed
as soon as you change the screen settings, this error constantly appears
you have to close the program using the task manager )

Hi
I do not often use Visual TFT these days but I just went to modify a project I wrote a few years ago and I got the "TFT is not a valid integer value" fault. I also must shut the program down using the windows task manager. This is a long standing fault which has not been fixed. I notice that the standalone version of Visual TFT is still for sale on the MikroElektronika website. To continue to sell such faulty software which will never get fixed is fraud.

Hello
I suspect that there will only be updates for the "Necto Compiler".........
