Mikromedia 7 for stm32F4
Re: Mikromedia 7 for stm32F4
Hello Wolfgang
Yes, the stm32F407ZG can run at 168MHZ.
May I know what is the problem? I didn't quite understand you
Kindest Regards

Re: Mikromedia 7 for stm32F4
I had not noticed before that the product page says: "The power of 216 MHz".
I find that confusing, but presumably ME are trying to say that F4 chip running at 168 MHz has equivalent processing power to some other MCU running at 216 MHz?
I guess that the important point is that 168MHz is the maximum clock speed for this ARM chip.

Hello hexreader
Long time no see. I hope everything is okay with you
I guess that number (216) is just a typo, I've got nothing to think of it.
Hello Wolfgang
I can see your point now. I guess it's a typo, but let's wait for an official reply from MikroElektronika regarding this to be 100% sure.
btw, I think you need to give us more details in your future posts. I'm sitting here guessing what you're saying
Best Regards

Hi,
OK will improve me, thought the link is enough to see the 216MHZ is a write error.
(Almost ordered the cheaper board by volatile read)
Regards wolfgang

Re: Mikromedia 7 for stm32F4
Ah.... now I get it....
This board with "F7" ARM chip:
https://shop.mikroe.com/smart-displays/ ... -7/stm32f7
Is 216 MHz.
What is written about "F4" ARM chip is just plain wrong
@ME Please would you fix the errors in the website for F4 version of the board. Many thanks.

Hello Lana Arsic
Thank you so much for your efforts. They are very appreciated
I don't mean to hijack the topic, but could you please report another typing mistake?
It's in the user manual of the EasyPIC V7 that is linked below:
https://download.mikroe.com/documents/f ... -v104c.pdf
In pages (25) (GLCD 128x64), the last lines in the paragraph to the right say:
Always remember that the technical support team is my favourite team
Best Regards

The mistake here is the numbers of the switches, where it should say:"Full brightness display back light can be enabled with SW4.5 switch, and PWM-driven back light with SW4.6 switch."
Keep up the amazing work"Full brightness display back light can be enabled with SW4.6 switch, and PWM-driven back light with SW4.5 switch."
