#1 Post by GVHecke » 20 Jan 2009 12:15

When will the PRO version of MP, MP for dsPIC and MC will be released?

Can we get the feature list (available functions, ...) already?

Thank,

Geert

Hi,

at this moment i can tell you what are our plans for dsPIC compilers.
The plan is that we switch compilers for dsPIC to PRO version after we release all three PRO compilers for PIC (mikroC, mikroPascal and mikroBasic).
As we head closer to final releases of PIC PRO compilers we will know more details, about plans and schedules for dsPIC PRO compilers.

Note: This topic has been moved to dsPIC part of the forum(originally it was misplaced in PIC part of our forum)

Thank you for the information.

But I was interested in the versions for PIC (PIC and dsPIC), that is why I posted in in MP for PIC.

When will the PRO versions for PIC be released and what functions will they include?

Thabnks,

Geert

Hi,

we are expecting to release beta version of mikroC PRO for PIC by the end of the month, or by beginning of February,
if everything goes as planned. mikroPascal PRO and mikroBasic PRO will be released soon after the mikroC.
...and what functions will they include?
This is quite general question, could you elaborate on this?

Hello,

Yes, I can specify more. What will be the differences with the standard versions?

if it is called PRO, I suppose there will be a lof of additional routines available in the libraries. So what will these be?

On a different thread, someone mentioned something about "bit variables", and how that would save large amounts of ROM, but I got no response to a request to elaborate on that. I'd appreciate it if someone could explain exactly what that refers to, and how it saves large amounts of ROM.
