TFT Proto 5" released

#1 Post by srdjan.misic » 24 Dec 2014 19:21

TFT Proto 5" released

Since more and more people are cramming these huge smartphone devices in their
pockets these days, we had to follow suit and come out with a 5 inch Proto board.

Image

With TFT Proto 5" you’ll be able to keep up with the times and get ideas from all these
great smartphone apps when designing your own graphical interfaces. The 5” 800 x 480
pixel display lets you pack a lot of features while still providing a squint-free user experience.
Surgical precision with a touchpen — not required.

Except the screen size, TFT Proto 5” is exactly the same as the more compact, 4.3 inch version.
It has a 4-wire resistive touchscreen panel, an SSD1963 graphic controller and an advanced
STMPE811 touchpanel controller.

The graphic controller has a 8/9/16/24-bit MCU interface with a deep-sleep power saving
mode (accessed through the GPIO0 pin on the side of the board).

The board is lined with two rows of 26 pins for interfacing it with your MCU, and it uses a 3.3V
power supply
.

Get it while our end of year sale is in effect, and you’ll get 10% off from the original price
(at checkout).

Yours sincerely,
MikroElektronika

Hi ME team

It would be good if there is an example for others mikroC compiler.
It's time to include STMPE811's library to other compiler too.

Best Regards

Hi darko,

I just wonder that the why your 5" TFT hardware can not use by all your compiler software?
This TFT used new touch screen controller chip that support by ARM compiler only.

I want to used this 5" TFT and 7" TFT but i only have DSPIC and PIC32 compiler .
Please include touch screen library to all compiler you have ASAP. I think you will have more order quantity.

I will own 5" and 7" each one.!!!

kind regards.

Hello,

We will do our best to support 5" TFT and 7" TFT in our compilers as soon as possible, this library is supported in PIC32 and ARM compilers now.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will surely forward it to Software Department.

Darko
