I now have IRNSS Click MIKROE-4472

Seems to be a great GPS receiver (29 satellites received indoors with on-board aerial - nice), but...

I cannot find information on message "$PQTMANTENNASTATUS,1,0,1*4F"

Have registered with Quectel and downloaded everything I could find relating to L89 GPS receiver, but can find no reference to this message.
Google seems to return nothing useful.

Anybody have a clue as to the meaning of the received parameters please?

I receive what appear to be standard GPS messages except for $PQTMANTENNASTATUS,1,0,1*4F

Any thoughts will be gratefully received - thanks

Can you show the whole line of 'raw' data?
Something like:
$GPGGA,043400.000,3158.7598,S,11552.8693,E,1,05,3.4,25.0,M,-29.3,M,,0000*58

That is a complete line of data.

I would prefer not to show the other lines of raw data, as it will give away my location.

Don't want any scammers to arrive on my doorstep.

.... but the other lines of data are just as they should be, and all match standard NEMA messages

This, and a few start-up messages appear to be proprietary messages from Quectel. I am guessing this is Aerial status 1,0,1 and a checksum

Plugging in an external aerial makes no difference to the message - still 1,0,1, but maybe I need to send a command to select external?

I suspect that Quetel may want big money to provide the missing information, but I am only willing to download whatever is for free (which isn't much).

Just thought there may be somebody out there who might already have been through the pain of finding out, and would be willing to share this one bit of info.

Requested docs from Quectel, but no reply as yet.

Have Googled every way I can think of, and downloaded everything that is even vaguely relevant.

Closest I got so far is for L26, which list 4 parameters, not the 3 that L89 gives

Arguments:
ant_status Decimal, 1 digit
Antenna status:
0 = Antenna NORMAL
1 = Antenna OPEN
2 = Antenna SHORT (short-circuited)
op_mode Decimal, 1 digit
Operating mode:
0 = Auto - the antenna is managed automatically by
the software logic
1 = Manual - the antenna ON/OFF or RF switching
is controlled by commands
rf_path Decimal, 1 digit
Current RF path:
0 = External antenna
1 = Internal antenna
pwr_switch Decimal, 1 digit
Current Antenna power status:
0 = Antenna power is on
1 = Antenna power is off
checksum Hexadecimal, 2 digits
Checksum of the message bytes between but not
including the $ and * characters

This message is not supported in the standard NMEA message list. It is automatically enabled when the
antenna sensing feature is enabled.
$PSTMANTENNASTATUS,<ant_status>,<op_mode>,<rf_path>,<pwr_switch>*<checksum><CR><LF>
Parameter

Another unknown comes with GLL status parameter
Valid status is V or A
IRNSS starts out showing V (invalid) then after a while A (Valid). After a few minutes status letter changes to D (not listed anywhere)

Still not important. Curiosity only. Maybe it is time for me to join the Quectel forum.
