analog sensor with 4-20mA click board and raspberry pi 3

#1 Post by moebama » 14 Jul 2020 21:40

Hello everybody,

I'm currently working on a project to measure the input of a 4-20mA analog sensor. Therefore I just bought a raspberry pi 3 with the click shield and the 4-20mA module.
From the software examples I noticed that the default 4-20mA library is not compatible with the PI, but I want to test it anyways :? .
However after connecting all wires, I try to connect the SPI bus via IC2 interface and all addresses are not in use. Therefore I assume that the 4-20 R module is not recognise at all. Does anyone have a hint for me to use the module with a rasbperry pi?

Thanks in advance! :(

Hello,

Unfortunately, Raspberry Pi is out of the scope of mikroE tech support, so we don't provide software support for it.

Examples for 4-20mA R click are written for our compilers and to be used on our development boards.
However, you can use the source code from the GitHub as a reference to write your project:

Also, maybe this link will help you:

Kind regards,
Jovana
