A missing product in the Mikro Elektronika chain

#1 Post by OT » 11 Jun 2018 02:00

I have got many products from MikroElektronika.
Nice hardware, nice compilers, all very fine. I would like to go eventually with ARM.
What is missing is a book(s) with just essential codes (text) to get started.
Not complete examples. Self contained code, very focused code for the single task of getting started,
for instance, to have this or that initialized.
For instance read the file names on a SD card. Read some data, or send and receive a byte from some device.
For a multi function board like EasyPIC Fusion V7, such a book would be mandatory, because using the
language itself is easy. (I mean all that is available through the Help files.)
When it comes to deal with an external device, it becomes so complex! All is for experienced programmers.
I would be willing to pay a good price to have such a book.
Up to now, I had good success only at simple things. Using a PIC32 for a single task.
We need something very different than LibStock.
Just text (headers) with explanations.
Your boards are nice and good for beginners. Your compilers, programmers etc... are fine. We need this missing gap: a book to show more than a led blinking demo.
Thanks for all help from the forum.

Hi,

That is a good idea, and I believe that lots of our users will benefit from something like that.
I will forward that suggestion.

Until mikroElektronika publishes new book, you can read some of our free ebooks on this link:

Kind regards,
Petar
