SpeakUp, SPK files and some questions

#1 Post by omg » 27 Nov 2016 23:14

I like to use SpeakUp card for my projects.
I use it with my raspberry or alone.
I like this product.
... but I have some questions.

1- I have a Linux OS or an Apple computer, how can I use the speakUp software?

2- When I cut the power of my SpeakUp, it losts the memory, it's normal?

3- How to maintains the memory on my SpeakUp after reboot it?

4- It's possible to boot my SpeakUp card and transfert a SPK file without the USB?

5- It exists ON, OFF, TOGGLE and PULSE. But I want, for exemple, a signal with 200ms up, then 100ms down and 500ms up. How to do that?

Thank U!!! Thanks a lot. :D

Hi,

Are you using Speak Up 1 or 2?

- At this moment we only have application for the Windows. You should be able to make virtual machine and use application that we already have.

- Commands and setup should stay in the SpeakUp after reset or power loss.
omg wrote:3- How to maintains the memory on my SpeakUp after reboot it?
- Did you try to wait some time for an LD1 to become active?
omg wrote:4- It's possible to boot my SpeakUp card and transfert a SPK file without the USB?
- Unfortunately it is only possible to program SpeakUp and transfer a SPK file over USB

- Unfortunately it's necessary to modify not only app for the SpeakUp, but also firmware inside the SpeakUp click.

Kind regards,
Aleksandar
