QEI quadrature encoder library

I'm designing an angular resolver conditioner, so I need to install a quadrature encoder interfaced to the dsPIC30F6015. This dsPIC device has a built-in quadrature encoder module that will enable fast and secure handling of the encoder pulses. A suitable Library Module into the compiler suites will be welcome.
Meanwhile I'm looking for some directives in order to use a fast pulse quadrature rotary encoder with index pulse with such device, eventually looking around the actual limitation of the compilers in this way.
