Multi-User Safe Preferences

#1 Post by emr150 » 15 Oct 2008 19:09

My installation of MikroC does not appear to play well in a multi-user environment. When installed by an Administrator, the files in the MikroC folder are read-only to all regular system users (as they should be). So when you try to change a preference (such as the color scheme), it fails in trying to write to the .ini files in the MikroC installation folder.

The request is that in future versions, preference files be written to %PROFILEPATH%/Application Data/MikroC/ (or some similarly-named profile sub-folder). This way users can have their own individual preferences, and also do not need write access to the MikroC installation folder.
