ethv2 serial ethernet clock example

I have been searching for some time for an lcd clock that uses NTP when I found one in my examples directory for easypic5 called ethv2.c which used the serial adapter I bought and never got round to using . My problem is this demo is written for a PIC18F4525 and I only have PIC18F4550 and PIC18F452 so it won't compile. Given that all I need is the LCD output I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a version of this which did not include all the http or dhcp? I was thinking of hard coding the ip address, ntp server before compiling.
