Unified IDE

#1 Post by piort » 01 Aug 2008 15:59

hi,

since all compiler will move up with new GUI IDE and command line, may i suggest to make only one IDE for all compiler ? The IDE can chk at startup wich licence are install on the PC ( and/or demo version ) and add that in the preference set-up or in the projet editor...And/or when you start a project, in the wizard, when selected MCU, automatically, the IDE chosen the proper compiler... That will make the life easier for you and for user with multiple compiler...

Maybe i dream in color with 3D effect but that cost nothing to say it ;-)

I agree. That would be awesome!

Make a MikroE IDE and allow it to be used with pretty much any compiler (Like MPLab)

I'm second to your opinion....
IDE should be separated from Compilers.
When there's an update on compiler, we do not need to reinstall the whole IDE or vice versa...

And it would be great if the IDE could be used with other compilers then the ME ones.

Although this topic is not related to mikroC, it is more suited
here then in development board wish list.

Interesting idea i have to admit, we will consider this.

Best Regards
